Holistic Care for Body and Mind

What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational therapy specifically helps to maintain and build independence for those daily ‘occupations’ or activities that you want and need to do.

We take a holistic approach, considering your goals and current medical requirements to develop a personalized plan.

At home, your occupational therapist can help adapt your living environment to increase safety and make daily tasks easier to manage.

Having an occupational therapist as part of the care team gives you and your family peace of mind and improves your overall daily experience.

Increase Safety and Mobility

Why Do Physical Therapy?

Physical Therapy can get you on your feet and walking! Your Physical Therapist will develop a personalized plan for you to build your strength, balance, and endurance.

We take a holistic approach, considering your goals and current medical requirements to develop your customized plan.

By coming to your home, your physical therapist can take into consideration your living environment to increase safety with mobility right where you do most of your daily activity.

Improve Speech, Chewing and Swallowing

Why Do Speech Therapy?

Have you noticed you loved one having difficulty eating/feeding themselves? Perhaps they cough or occasionally choke when drinking? Did you notice some challenges with speaking or understanding when others speak?  Maybe you have even noticed memory changes.

Speech Therapy is vital for people with swallowing concerns, difficulty speaking or comprehending language, or even with memory challenges.

Your speech therapist will evaluate your specific needs and personalize a plan for you to move you towards your goals.

Why Home Modification Can Be Important

Making your environment suitable for your needs can have a huge impact on quality of life.

Home modifications are some of the ways occupational therapists can help to make things easier and safer around the home. They can be simple things like making cupboards more accessible, adding handrails, or adjusting the layout to allow better mobility.

We visit you at your home to learn about your daily routine and evaluate the living space for any potential security or safety hazards. Your occupational therapist will assess which home modifications can enhance day-to-day life and reduce the risk of falls.

Based on the evaluations made on the home visit, recommendations will then be given as to what home modifications would benefit your goals, lifestyle, and medical limitations.
